Barry first established his own practice in the Republic of Ireland in 1996, as a sole pracftitioner on Dublin Street of Monaghan town. Barry specialised from the outset in personal injury matters and courtroom advocacy.
In 1997, Barry expanded the practice and his workforce, and initated the practice's continuing dedication to family law.
In 2000, Barry Healy & Company, Solicitors relocated to "Laurel Lodge", Hillside, Monaghan. Also, in 2000 the firm took over the matters of PJ O'Gara, Solicitor trading as Lardner & Company. Yet again the firm expanded, with conveyancing becoming a large part of the workload.
In 2007, Barry became the State Solicitor for the County of Monaghan, acting on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions in criminal matters.
In 2008, the firm also took over JJ Keenan & Son, Solicitors, and Mr. Keenan continues to operate as a consultant within the firm.
Barry Healy & Company, Solicitors continue to meet the needs of a changing society, establishing a specialised debt recovery service in 2009; using the most up-to-date case management systems and continuous staff training and development.
